Chris Palmer

Chris’ Love for the world of video games started at a very young age. His parents blessed him with an Atari 2600 which taunted his imagination with its colorful pixels and bleep bloopy music. Having been born in the grand town of Sedro-Woolley, Chris soon learned that in order to stay sane he would either have to acquire a taste for wearing camo and killing cute little woodland critters, OR he could immerse himself into many different digital worlds of fantasy….Guess what he picked.Chris at a party

There have been many games over the years that have impacted Chris’ life by branding themselves on his soul. A few of those are: Dance Dance Revolution (Arcade), Goldeneye (N64), Grand Theft Auto 3 (PS2), Pokemon (GBC) and City of Heroes (PC). He’s also a huge fan of Power Blade, Megaman 2-6, GTA Vice City, Final Fantasy X, Gears of War, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, many MANY more.

Being a video game enthusiast isn’t ALL Chris is about. Thats right ladies, he’s multi-dimensional. Chris is actually an Artist at heart. He loves to draw and has decided to make that his career (provided this podcast thing doesn’t take off…..or the rock band…) In December 2005 he graduated from the Art Institute of Portland with a Bachelors Degree in Media Arts and Animation. Chris’ other hobbies also include anything to do with Music and Movies.
Some of his favorite bands include: Foo Fighters, Presidents of the United States of America, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Schoolyard Heroes, United State of Electronica, Tenacious D, the Offspring, the Bloodhound Gang and Dragon Force.

Well thats about it. If you’d like to know anymore about the phenomenon that is Chris, be sure to check out his links and send him a message.

Lauren was born in Memphis, TN and went to high school in Kent, WA at Kent-Meridian High School. She then went on to Western Washington University and graduated Winter ’06 with a B.A. in Journalism (PR). Besides video games being a major hobby, Lauren loves reading, photography, painting, cooking and playing music.Lauren Miller

Well, Lauren has been around video games since residing in her mother’s womb. The first console she got her hands on was the Pong Console from Atari her parents owned. From there video games have always been one of the main media outlets in her life. Some of her favorite games are: Tales of Symphonia, Dragon Quest 8, Street Fighter 2 Alpha, Katamari Damacy, Smash Bros. and the Mega Man series. As for games that changed her life they were the ones she mainly played with her sister; Mortal Kombat 3, Bubble Bobble, Mario Party 1, Super Mario RPG, Mario Kart (SNES).

Her favorite bands are: The Get Up Kids, Saves the Day, Coheed and Cambria, Minus the Bear, Cursive, Mates of State, The Anniversary, Hey Mercedes.

Aaron Apple

Hailing from the small town of Sedro-Woolley, WA (same place as Chris), Aaron didn’t go too far to get his college degree. Like Lauren, he attended Western Washington University and graduated in March of ’06 with a B.A. in Journalism (focus on PR) and a minor and certification in Web Content Development. He’s hoping the podcast is combining the two of those.

Aaron is passionate about a lot of different things. His friends and family, music (records and live shows), gaming, welsh corgis, playing drums (particularly in his band Dragline), food, good beer (microbrews), podcasting, threadless.com, photography (and getting into other visual arts), technology, nature, and just about everything else in between. Parappa the Rapper!

When it comes to games, Aaron’s favorite system of all time is the Super NES, followed closely by the PS2 and Nintendo DS. Games that have impacted him the most include Final Fantasy III (for SNES – or FFVI, whatev), Guitar Hero, Super Mario World, Katamari Damacy, Dance Dance Revolution, Street Fighter II Turbo, Mega Man II, Tetris Attack, Suikoden and tons more. He tends to lean mostly toward RPGs but also enjoys fighters, action/adventure, puzzle and music games.

Music is the one thing Aaron likes more than gaming. Favorite bands include The Get Up Kids, Minus the Bear, at the drive-in, Björk, The Arcade Fire, Rainer Maria, Hot Water Music, The Blood Brothers and Mates of State. He’s really digging The Hold Steady and Neutral Milk Hotel at the moment.
